The Architect of Legacy : Bridging Law, Governance, Journalism and Heritage

In a world often captivated by the transient and the loud, Advocate Harjeet Singh Grewal has dedicated his life to a different philosophy: that the most enduring structures are built on the bedrock of credibility, culture, and commitment. His journey is not a story of sudden ascent but a long, steady march, a life where social service has always remain ideal than titles.

A Sentinel of Public Trust

For over twenty-four years, Harjeet stood at the vibrant crossroads of administration and public accountability. Serving at communicator and facilitator of the Punjab Government, he superannuated in October 2025 as Additional Director of Information and Public Relations, having navigated the high-pressure corridors of governance with a rare blend of transparency, uprightness and determination. Whether disseminating various ministers’ communication or bridging the gap between authorities and the citizens, he operated in a space where words carry weight and trust is earned slowly, one brick at a time.

The Soul of the Warrior

Beyond the gavel and the government office, Harjeet Singh is the tireless torchbearer of a living legacy. As a global leader in the promotion of Gatka, he has taken the ancient Sikh martial art from the dusty pages of history to the international sporting arena. By drafting the first-ever institutional rules for the sport in 2009, he ensured that Gatka found a modern competitive framework without ever losing its “cultural soul”. To him, culture is not a museum piece; it is a pulse that must be kept alive through organization, research, and respect.

Resilience as a Way of Life

Harjeet’s most profound contributions often happen away from the limelight. Despite navigating life with a fifty percent physical handicap, his commitment to humanity remains boundless. He is a man who leads by example rather than appeal, whether through personal blood donation, advocating for organ donation or fighting for the rightful status of the Punjabi language.

A Vision for the Future

Measured in tone and disciplined in action, Advocate Harjeet Singh Grewal represents a generation that believes public life is a blessed trust. After superannuation, he restated to practice law at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, bringing a legal lens to his lifelong mission of building institutions that outlast their founders. He does not just inhabit roles; he strengthens them, leaving behind structures that are invariably stronger than when he found them.
